Super Eagles head Eric Chelle has said it is important for his team to focus on their next two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations took centre stage following the completion the draw in Rabat, Morocco on Monday.

The West Africans are pitted in Group C with Tanzania, Uganda and Tanzania.

Chelle stated that the main priority for his team at the moment is to get their faltering World Cup qualifying campaign back on track.

The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in Group C with three draws and one defeat.

“We are a strong team, and now we need to focus on World Cup qualification,” Chelle said in an interview with the Super Eagles media.

“After that, in October, we can think about what comes next. But now, we need to be focused on one goal, and the goal is the next game against Rwanda.”

Nigeria will be up against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in a matchday five and six fixtures in March.
