Christantus Uche provided the assist to Getafe’s goal in their 1-0 win at lower division club Pontevedra, to reach the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

Uche has now provided assists in back-to-back games after also setting up his teammate in Getafe’s first goal in the 2-1 win away to Las Palmas.

The Nigerian forward assisted Alvaro Rodriguez for what proved to be the only goal of the game with just two minutes on the clock.

Rodriguez went from hero to villain after he was shown a straight red card with four minutes left in the first half.

Getafe also had Diego Rico shown his second yellow card in the 92nd minute.

Meanwhile, the draw for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey will hold on January 20.

The last four games will be played from February 4 to 6 2025.
