Former Italy Star Okays Osimhen’s Move To Galatasaray

Lorenzo Insigne has backed Victor Osimhen’s loan move to Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.

Osimhen linked up with Okan Buruk’s side on a season-long loan deal from Napoli this month.

Former Italy international Insigne opined that the powerful striker has the right to make his choice.

“I didn’t expect it. Victor is smart, and I am sure he made his own choices,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

Insigne played with Osimhen at Napoli and is happy his friend joined another ex-Napoli star in Turkey.

“I don’t know what happened with Napoli, but I’m happy for him, especially because he’ll play with Mertens. I can see that they have fun together,”he added.

The 25-year-old has already made his debut for Galatasaray.

He is expected to feature for the club in the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce on Saturday (today).
