Olisa Ndah captained Orlando Pirates as they booked their place in the final of the MTN8 with a 2-0 victory over Cape Town City in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
Ndah featured for 90 minutes as Pirates won the tie 3-1 in aggregate after the first match in Cape Town ended in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
The former Akwa United player and his Pirates teammates will now wait and see who they will face in the final, with Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns set to face off in their second-leg semi-final on Sunday.
Pirates went into the break 2-0 up after Tshegofatso Mabasa scored with a header in the 25th minute, before Deon Hotto scored a lovely free kick shortly before halftime.
Pirates, who have won the competition three times in the last four years, looked comfortable throughout the clash and took the lead after Mabasa was found with a pin-point cross by the young Relebohile Mofokeng.
Namibian international Hotto scoerred with a brilliant left-footed shot from outside the box after Pirates were given a free kick.
In the second half, Pirates had a few opportunities on the counter as City pushed forward. While the home team squandered a few chances, they weren’t really bothered by the Cape side side.
Meanwhile, Ndah was included in the Super Eagles squad for their AFCON 2025 double header with Benin Republic and Rwanda.
