Manchester City have made contact with Ilkay Gündogan’s camp over potential return for the midfielder.
This is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X handle.
Romano revealed that City and Pep Guardiola are open to consider Gündogan’s comeback.
The Italian journalist said Barçelona want Gündogan to leave and he has also received approaches from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other clubs.
On Monday it was reported that Gundogan was ready to leave Barcelona after spending just one season.
This led to City making enquiry on the possibility of re-signing him.
Meanwhile, Gundogan announced his retirement from international football after making his debut for Germany in 2011.
