Super Eagles of Nigeria and Everton forward, Alex Iwobi, has expressed his delight after he was named in the Premier League Team of the Week.

Iwobi was included in the Team of the Week which was compiled by England and Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer.

The former Arsenal star has been the standout performer for Everton this season with eye catching displays.

He set up the assist that saw Neal Maupay score for Everton in their 1-0 win win West Ham at Goodison Park.

It was Everton’s first win of the season which eases the pressure on manager Frank Lampard.

And reacting to the Team of the Week posted on the Premier League Twitter, Iwobi wrote on his handle:”Honoured.”

Iwobi will hope to bring his impressive form to the Eagles when they face Algeria in a friendly game on Tuesday.
