Eagles Euro Roundup: Awaziem In Action, Omeruo Benched As Leganes Lose; Aina Suffer Defeat With Torino

Chidozie Awaziem was in action while Kenneth Omeruo was benched in relegation threatened Leganes’ 2-1 away defeat at Osasuna in Saturday’s LaLiga clash, Completesports.com reports.

Awaziem, making his 22nd league appearance of the season, was in the starting eleven before he was replaced in the 46th minute. 

Enric Gallego opened scoring for Osasuna on nine minutes but Javier Aviles drew Leganes level on 50 minutes.

And in the 96th minute Gallego netted the winner to secure the three points for Osasuna.

Leganes are now winless in five consecutive games (three defeats and two draws) since football returned in Spain.

They are in the drop zone in 19th position on 25 points, seven points from safety.

And in the Serie A, Ola Aina featured for Torino who lost 4-2 away to Cagliari.

Aina was replaced with 16 minutes left in the encounter which was Aina’s 23rd of the season for Torino.

The defeat to Cagliari leaves Torino in  14th position on 31 points and are six points away from the relegation spot.
