Manchester City have moved above Liverpool to the top of the EPL table following a 2-0 victory against Fulham in Saturday’s early kickoff at Craven Cottage, Completesports.com reports
The victory was City’s seventh in a row in the EPL, while Fulham have now lost each of their last eight in the top flight to remain in 19th position in the EPL table, still 13 points from the safety.
Both the away side’s goals came in the first period, with Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero on the scoresheet for the reigning champions.
Silva opened scoring in the fifth minute firing home a beautiful curling effort after sloppy pass from Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
City doubled their lead in the 27th minute when Aguero expertly picked out the far corner with a chipped effort.
City had opportunities to add to the scoring late on, but the home side stood firm to prevent a rout and make the scoreline more respectable.
Next up for City in the EPL is a home game against Cardiff City on Wednesday night, while Fulham’s search for a victory will continue away to Watford on Tuesday.
