The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has denied reports that a case of Coronavirus has been recorded in Kano state.
In a tweet posted on its verified Twitter handle, NCDC says the report is fake and should be disregarded.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that his son tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
The former vice president who shared the news via his verified Twitter handle, stated that the NCDC (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control), has been duly informed about the situation and that his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and Management.
He did not mention the name of which of his sons was infected by the disease.
Atiku also asked that Nigerians put his son in prayers.
As of 11am on Sunday, the NCDC said the cases were 27 in the country. It stated that the cases included 19 in Lagos; four in the FCT; one in Ekiti; one in Oyo and two in Ogun.
