Mohamed Salah Wins Liverpool’s ‘Goal Of The Season’ Award

On Saturday, Liverpool celebrated their outing in the 2018-19 Premier League season — in which they enjoyed their longest unbeaten run. One of the stars that made this possible was Mohamed Salah, who deservedly won the club’s ‘Goal of the Season‘ award.

According to Liverpool website, more than 115,000 votes were cast by fans, and Salah’s goal against Chelsea in April amassed 56.7% of the poll – beating other nominated goals by Sadio Mané and Daniel Sturridge.

It helps that the goal was crucial for Liverpool. At the time it came, the Reds needed it to restore their two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table and to prove to Chelsea that they could stick to their guns in their own home ground.

When Liverpool takes on Tottenham in the Champions League final, Salah will be looking to make history as the only Egyptian to play in the highest number of matches in Europe, and we don’t see him slowing down anytime soon.
