Wilfred Ndidi’s tackling skills are gradually becoming legendary. After recently placing tops on the list of tacklers in the Premier League this season, he has just been named the top tackler in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
According to the reports released by trusted football stats website, WhoScored, Ndidi has 123 tackles to his name — that’s more than any other player in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga.
While Everton’s Idrissa Gueye and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka are following him close behind, the stats show that the Leicester City player has dispossessed an opponent two times more than Gueye and eight times more than Wan-Bissaka.
His impressive streak doesn’t just end there. Ndidi is credited with making 68 interceptions, 71 clearances and 279 recoveries. He has also won 124 aerial battles and has zero errors leading to a goal. That’s a tough stat to beat!
