From memorable tournament theme songs to partnerships between clubs and music streaming platforms, music and football have always enjoyed great synergy. Building on that, Mr Eazi and Alex Iwobi recently sat down together to talk about their inspirations in their respective fields.
The chat, which also features Arsenal players, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah, is part of a partnership between Arsenal and Jay-Z streaming platform, TIDAL to celebrate their shared commitment to developing young talent.
In addition to talking about performing under pressure, both stars also reveal some fun facts. For example, Mr Eazi says his love for Arsenal began when Nwankwo Kanu was a player; while Iwobi admits to being the team’s unofficial DJ, constantly playing music in the changing room.
Talking about what he often listens to for inspiration, Iwobi revealed:
“I’m listening to afrobeat; I’m trying to get psyched up for the game. So, I’m doing the leg over.”
