The Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped two spots – from 44th to 46th, and are ranked fourth in Africa following the latest FIFA World Rankings released on Thursday, reports Completesports.com.
The three-time African champions are behind the Terangha Lions of Senegal, Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and Atlas Lions of Morocco in the ranking of African teams.
The Super Eagles are tied in the same position with Montenegro in the world ranking.
Gernot Rohr’s team’s opponent in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture Seychelles, are ranked 189th in the world.
Egypt, who th Eagles will face in a friendly game also in March are ranked 57th in the world and eighth in Africa.
There are no changes in the top five countries in the world occupied by Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia and England.
