The Aragbiji of Iragbiji land, Oba Abdulrasheed Olabomi, Odundun IV, has denied giving support to any candidate for the forthcoming House of Assembly election coming up in the state on Saturday.
The monarch made this clarification while addressing indigent of the town at an event held earlier today in Iragbiji.
He said he was surprised that some people who had worked against the interest of the town in thebpast have been using his name to campaign for their candidate or party in a bid to sway voters to their side for their political ambitions, which he said doesn’t have his royal support.
Prior to the clarification made by the monarch, there was already insinuations flying around that Oba Abdulrasheed Olabomi had supported a one time Chairman of Boripe local government, Hon Moronkola, in its quest to become the lawmaker representing the local government at the state House of Assembly.
But the monarch who was visibly angry against such unfounded rumour, while making his remarks at the event said, Hon Moronkola does not enjoy his support for his political ambition as he can never supported someone who work against the interest of the town during the gubernatorial election held in the state.
He equally said, a character who engage in mudslinging and vicious falsehood against his personality at the last guber poll can never enjoy his royal blessing for his political ambition.
