Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju believes Odion Ighalo still has what it takes to play for the team following his impressive performance for Premier League club, Manchester United.
Ighalo, 30, has scored four goals in eight outings in all competitions for the Red Devils following his arrival on loan from Chinese Super League outfit, Shanghai Shenhua in January.
The former Watford striker scored a brilliant goal and recorded an assist in United’s 5-0 Europa League win against Austrian club, LASK on Thursday night.
Ighalo called time on his international career after emerging top scorer at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt with five goals.

He also scored 16 goals in 35 appearances for Nigeria.
“With his kind of form, it won’t be a crime to drag Odion Ighalo back to the Super Eagles. Well done,” Adepoju tweeted.
Ighalo is yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League in four appearances for his new club but will hope to do so when the Red Devils travel to London to face Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
