John Ogu has backed former Super Eagles teammate Odion Ighalo to secure a permanent move to Manchester United from Shanghai Shenhua, Completesports.com reports.

Ogu stated this following Ighalo’s brace for United in their 3-0 win at Derby County, in the fifth round of the Emirates FA on Thursday night.

Ighalo scored United’s second and third goals to secure a quarter-final meeting with Norwich City.

The former Super Eagles joined the Red Devils on loan from Shanghai Shenhua on January deadline day.

And reacting to the former Watford striker’s recent achievement, Ogu wrote on his verified Twitter handle:  “Pin this Tweet now, ODION IGHALO will sign for MAN UTD permanently.”

The 2019 AFCON bronze medal winner and top scorer has now netted three goals in six appearances in all competitions for United.
