For most of the year, Teni has been lending her incredible voice to a bunch of songs, elevating releases like Boj’s seductive “Obe” and Ryan Omo’s catchy “Nkwobi”. Now she’s back with yet another feature, joining King Perryy on his latest track, “Murder”.

From the song’s very start, “Murder” immediately infects its listener with the spirit of dance. King Perryy’s catchy hook kicks the track off, with him telling us the purpose of this jam is to get our bodies moving — a feat he unequivocally accomplishes.

Produced by TUC, the dancehall beat hosts a plethora of different instruments, from uplifting piano chords to a spritely flute addition. With this eclectic beat, Teni takes ahold of the song’s chorus, playfully cursing her baby for murdering her with love.

On their respective verses, King Perryy and Teni elucidate upon the metaphorical chorus. While King Perryy blames his lovers’ body for killing him, Teni holds the amazing sex she and her man share accountable for her death.
