Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James has confessed that the end of his professional career is approaching.
The current 2023/2024 season is the twenty-first of his career.
James has been an NBA champion four times (2012, 2013, 2016, 2020) and a two-time Olympic champion (2008, 2012).
In 2023, James was named the highest-paid NBA player by Forbes ($117.6 million). He also became the first player in the league to score 40,000 career points.

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer admitted that even though he’s still playing at a high level, he knows retirement is drawing near.
“Not very long,” James said when asked how much longer he plans to play.
“I’m on the other side, obviously, of the hill. So I’m not going to play another 21 years, that’s for damn sure. But not very long.
“I don’t know what or when that door will close as far as when I retire, but I don’t have much time left.”
