Marcus Rashford has returned to team training ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Sevilla.

The forward, who left the pitch with a groin strain in a Premier League tie against Everton has returned in time for United’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final match at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The loss of first-choice center-backs Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in last Thursday’s match against Sevilla was just one of many recent injury blows that have left United reeling.

With Martinez expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a metatarsal fracture on his right foot, Erik ten Hag was forced to play without 10 members of his first-team squad against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

According to the Metro, Rashford participated in the team training Wednesday and he could be in contention to feature against the Spanish club on Thursday.

His availability would be a massive boost as United embark on a pivotal three-game stretch.

The Premier League club carelessly threw away a two-goal lead against Sevilla last week. But they have a great record this season against Spanish opposition, having defeated Real Sociedad and Real Betis away from home while drawing with Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

United will travel to Wembley for their FA Cup semifinal match against Brighton after returning from their trip to Spain.

They play at Tottenham on the following Thursday, and a victory there would strengthen their hold on a top-four finish.
