Ycee, Flyboi & Dapo Turburna Deliver A Laid-Back Vibe On 'Party Hard'

This year, Ycee has been on an impressive creative spree — from his stellar birthday release, “Balance”, to his solid feature on Blaqbonesz’s “Play”. Now, the rapper is back with another killer guest spot, shining alongside Dapo Turburna on Flyboi’s “Party Hard”.

“Party Hard” is definitely an atypical party song, as the mid-tempo beat sets the vibe for a more intimate and relaxed rendezvous. Although the track itself isn’t energetic, the three artists still maintain liveliness through their lyrics, describing excessive drinking and chasing girls.

Flyboi starts the track by announcing the motive for the night: Partying hard and taking a fine lady home. Former label mates, Ycee and Dapo Turburna cover the next two verses — their rustic vocals complementing each other and the smooth track rather soundly.

Most party anthems from these parts come in the form of an uptempo afropop song, such as Burna and DJ Neptunes’ “Shayo”, so the cool scene set on this surprisingly laid-back tune is an extremely refreshing change of pace.
