Burna Boy Says He'll Be Releasing A Short Film Really Soon

Burna Boy is one of the most celebrated Nigerian artists working today, and given the quality of music he’s been putting out recently, there’s no wonder why. After surprising his fans with a 4-track EP last week, the afro-fusion star has now announced that he’ll be releasing a short film soon.

Beyond his music, Burna Boy has a foot in the fashion industry, as his eclectic sense of style has gained him recognition with the likes of Vogue. Now, it looks like he’s inching into the film industry, revealing during his Beats 1 interview with Ebro the reason behind the short film. 

He said:

“I just kinda wanted to show a side to my craft that hasn’t really been shown.”

At his Christmas concert last year, Burna Boy gave us a little taste of his filmmaking mind, as he unveiled a gripping short film while fans awaited his grand entrance. As with his music and his style, nothing about that production was conventional.

The short film will reportedly feature two records off his Steel & Cooper EP, “Darko” & “Thugging”, and considering the fact that both songs are the standout tracks off the DJDS-produced EP, we are particularly excited to see what the film will entail.
