Duke Of Edinburgh Cup Organizers Keen To Make It Successful

Chairman of the International Award for Young People, under which the Duke of Edinburgh International Award operates in Nigeria, Olawale Edun is determined to make the initiative a success in the country.

The Duke of Edinburgh ‘ s Cup is an annual international series of golf events run by International Golf for youth.

It’s aim is to raise funds through a programme of national amateur golf events around the world to benefit young people and children in need globally.

One of the key objectives of this event is to help raise funds to support the work of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Nigeria.

“To be part of a great competition like this is an honour for me and other golfers. It is a wonderful initiative that others can learn from and copy, ” a golfer Obinna Okoli stated.

”I just hope we can have a harmonized calendar in future so that we can have a large number of golfers participate.

“There are a lot of competition going on in other states as we are having this which is not good enough.

The winner and runner-up of the event will join winners from other parts of the world for a one week expense paid trip for the world finals in Windsor, England.
