Real Madrid’s manager, Zinedine Zidane, has moved to kill off speculations about his future, insisting he will still be in charge next season.
Los Blancos’ 2019/2020 season ended on Friday night, with a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League last-16.
Madrid was as a result eliminated on a 4-2 aggregate.
Zidane was however able to wrestle the LaLiga title from fierce rivals Barcelona for the first time since 2017.
When asked if he planned to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, Zidane responded briefly and said there was no need asking more questions in that regard.
“Well, I’m here. I’m Real Madrid’s coach until something happens which is out of the ordinary. I’m here, of course.
“You don’t have to think anything. I am the coach of Madrid, and that’s it.
“There are no more questions to ask in this regard. Now we are all going to rest and we will return to have a great season,” he told a press conference.
