President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement released on Tuesday, May 26 has commiserated with the Ogun State government, its citizens and the family the of Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, who died on Tuesday.
Naija News understands that the late Imam died at the age of 98 at his residence in Isale Igbein, Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina in the statement said, “the President salutes the life of piety and utmost submission to the will of Almighty Allah as lived by the departed, who was also the President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State.”
According to President Buhari, “Orunsolu lived a long and qualitative life, devoted to the service of Allah.”
Buhari, however, prayed God to bountifully reward the late cleric, having served his course here on earth.
Meanwhile, in another news, President Muhammadu Buhari has called on all Africans to seek for peaceful co-existence and harmony with the hope of developing the continent to enviable heights.
