D'Banj & 2Baba Team Up In The Video For Their Romantic Single, 'Baecation'

A few weeks ago, 2Baba taunted an upcoming collaboration, uploading a picture of himself and his wife enjoying a couples vacation with D’Banj and his spouse. It seems we were right to suspect something cooking, as now the two musical old hands are out with a new single, “Baecation”.

2Baba opens the Shizzi-produced song, telling us he is mesmerised by a girl with a good body. He declares that he is so infatuated with her that he is looking to take her on vacation, a sentiment which D’Banj clearly shares, as he bellows out the song’s chorus.

The video, which was directed by Sesan, is incredibly entertaining, as it shows the two bastions of afropop attempt to woo two girls with their virtual reality technology that will take them on their ideal vacation — or, in this case, “baecation”

The rest of the video sees them enjoying a beautiful vacation with each other and a number of girls on a serene beach, before the dream is abruptly cut short as their machine breaks. The supremely engaging video certainly helps the average song along.
