Nasarawa reopens Mosques, Churches

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Tuesday lifted ban on church services as well as mosques. The governor at the Government House, Lafia, declared the state government has lifted the ban on religious gatherings for two weeks. He, however, said that the government will still enforce social distancing, use of face masks, hand sanitizers and temperature checks.

The Commissioner for Information, Dogo Shammah, after an expanded executive council meeting in Lafia, disclosed that 19 of the 31 patients at the isolation centre in Nasarawa have been discharged.

He stated that the total number of active cases in the state traduced to 13 which includes the one positive case recorded on Tuesday.

The Commissioner also said that embargo on commercial tricycles has also been lifted, but the number of passengers is restricted to two.
