An Ethiopian airlines plane crashed this morning six minutes after it took off.
The plane which was headed to Nairobi Kenya had 157 people on board and all the passengers died in the crash.
A Nigerian professor was identified as the only Nigerian on-board the ill fated flight.
Pius Adesanmi was a great African intellectual, a Nigerian with Canadian citizenship.
He had a robust followership on Facebook and Twitter. He’s an author and senior lecturer in a Canadian University.
Yesterday he shared he’s last post on Facebook. He wrote:
“If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me – Psalm 139:9-10”
I know he’s already resting in the Lords bossom.
UPDATE: Professor Pius is also a Canadian citizen and flew using he’s Canadian passport. He was listed as a Canadian citizen in the flight manifest.
The only Nigerian in the plane has been identified as Professor Abiodun Bashua.
