Oyo House of Reps member shot dead in Ibadan

The member representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, was shot dead in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital during the election on Saturday.

He died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. He was confirmed dead by the Head of Public Relations of the hospital, Mr Toye Akinrinlola, at 8:20 pm.

The federal legislator was the Oyo Central senatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the February 23 election. He lost to the APC candidate Sen. Teslim Folarin.
