British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been discharged from hospital after overcoming a deadly battle with coronavirus.
Newspapers in UK said Johnson was discharged from St Thomas Hospital today.
He was admitted on Sunday, on the same day Queen Elizabeth made a broadcast on the pandemic.
‘The PM has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery, at Chequers”, said a 10 Downing Street spokesman.
‘On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work.
‘He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas’ for the brilliant care he has received.
‘All of his thoughts are with those affected by this illness.’
On Saturday, Johnson thanked the hospital staff for saving his life.
He was initially admitted for tests on Sunday.
But a day after, his health took a turn for the worse.
He was then moved into the intensive care unit, where he spent three days.
