The Nigeria Railway Corporation has said it will stop all
train services from Monday 23rd March following the recent spread of
coronavirus.
The Corporation said further information would be made
available to passengers.
This is contained in a statement by the Deputy Director
Public Relations of the Corporation, Yakub Mahmood.
It reads: “The Board and Management of the Nigeria Railway
Corporation (NRC)have decided to stop all passengers’ train operation as from
Monday 23rd March 2020.
“This is in view of the report of the already known
Coronavirus outbreak.
“Further information on passengers’ train services will be
made available in due cause to our esteemed passengers.”
