President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, addressed Nigerians on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak which hit Nigeria about three weeks ago.
He noted that protecting Nigerians from COVID-19 is a key priority for his administration.
The President in a 23-seconds video posted on microblogging site, Twitter, by Bashir Ahmad, his personal assistant on new media assured Nigerians that the government is working to protect the citizens from the coronavirus disease.
“We are working with [Federal] Ministry of Health (@FMoHNigeria) on protecting our citizens from #COVIDー19, as a government, this is now a key priority for us”. – President @MBuhari on #coronavirus pandemic. #COVID19Nigeria,” the president said.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria has risen to 30. This is after the Lagos State Government on Sunday evening confirmed three fresh cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Naija News reports that 2 out of the three cases were returning from travel and one is a contact of a confirmed case.
