MOSOP Congratulates Chief Hon Victor Giadom on His Emergence as New APC National Chairman

On behalf of the Ogoni people, the Movement for the Survival
of the Ogoni People, MOSOP, wishes to congratulate Chief Hon Victor T. Giadom
on his elevation as acting national chairman of the All Progressives Party,
Nigeria’s filling political party.

While we rejoice with you on this elevation, we remind you
that the Ogoni people have always being a light to our country and we will urge
you to to project the Ogoni virtues of love, excellence, commitment and trust
in your new job not only in the interest of your party but to provide an
exemplary leadership that can beneficial to our country at large.

The Ogoni people have always been a light and exceptional
gift to our country. Our struggles brought about the creation of the the Oil
Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission, OMPADEC, the Niger Delta
Development Commission, NDDC, we brought the deplorable conditions of the Niger
Delta environment to the fore. Our struggles and sacrifices led to the
emergence of a Niger Deltan as president of our country and we will want to see
your new job as an opportunity to demonstrate the Ogoni in you by making a
positive impact on your party and our country with a leadership that reflects
the Ogoni spirit.
