The Nation reports that tragedy struck last Thursday, when a 15-year-boy, who drowned in an open water at Rijiyar Lemo, Dan Rimi in Kano State, has been confirmed dead.
Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, Public Relations Officer of the state Fire Service who confirmed the incident in a statement in Kano, said the incident happened on Thursday.
“We received a distress call from Malam Mujittafa Tasiu at about 11:38 am over the tragic incident.
“On receiving the information, we promptly dispatched our rescue team to the scene at about 11: 52 am.
“Muhammed was found dead and his corpse was handed over to the ward head of Danrimi Alhaji Yunusa Yahaya”.
