On 27 February, 2019, two things happened in the life of Bash Ali. The ageless boxer celebrated his birthday and on the same day, he did one thing to show the world that with his age, he is fit as a boxer. He renewed his professional boxing licence with the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C).
It was the Secretary General of the NBB of C, Remi Aboderin who first announced to the world through his facebook page that “the World Champ, Ajagungbade 1 of Nigeria, Bash Ali was at the office of the President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control ( NBB of C) Dr. Rafiu Oladipo to Renews his “License to Shock” the World. (Pro. Boxing License).
Few hours later, the champion himself also wrote on his Facebook page that “After a gruesome 3 hours medical doctors nonstop physical examination and tested from the hairs on my head to the nails on my toes, I was given a clean bill of health to box. I am truly an EXTRAORDINARY human being. Here, the President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, Dr Rafiu Ladipo gives me the license to box. We are going to SHOCK the world by rewriting boxing history and make all our CRITICS/ENEMIES our DISCIPLES. Mark my words.”
In what appears to be a move to stun his critics, who are wondering if he is fit enough to make a realisation of the Guinness Book of World Record Championship, Bash Ali, by the clean bill of health from the NBB of C, has raised his head tall that he is fit and ready to shock the world.
