A man identified as Jude Madu escaped death on Wednesday after his wife allegedly stabbed him twice while sleeping at their house in Owerri, Imo State.

According to a Facebook user, Chinonso Chibuogwu, the enraged woman who was suspecting her husband of infidelity, had waited until he slept before stabbing him two times.

Mr Madu managed to wake up and escaped the room before she could harm him further. He was subsequently rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, where he is in critical condition and receiving treatment.

Sharing graphic photos of the injured husband in the hospital, Chinonso Chibuogwu wrote:

“Hmm just visited my friend Mr Jude mmadu from FMC owerri this morning. His wife try to kill him because he suspect that he has a side chick somewhere.

“Thank God after stabbing him twice as he was sleeping he managed to wake and escape. Just yesterday I talk about it . Men be careful this year.”
