Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said that the party is not considering a name change or logo ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Speaking in a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT, the PDP Spokesman said it is the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) that should be considering a change of name owing to its battered image across the country.
“For those who are talking about change of name, we are not changing our party’s name or logo.
The PDP remains the biggest in Nigeria’s political firmament and so, the issue of name change does not arise. Even without our name and logo, we did well in the last general elections.
Maybe it is the APC that is very damaged now that will be considering a change of name, not PDP,” he said.
