Sunday Oliseh
Sunday Oliseh has turned down a mouth-watering offer to manage unnamed Turkish second division club because he still wants to be with his family, Sports Extra can report.
The former Super Eagles and Fortuna Sittard manager was offered a three-year deal worth €3m annually with another €1m in bonuses.
Oliseh met with the chairman of club in Paris when both parties discussed the prospect of him taking over the club.
But the former Nigeria captain decided it was not the right move for him on professional grounds and rejected the offer.
“It was quite lucrative far better than the one I had at Sittard but there were reasons I opted out,” Oliseh told Sports Extra.
Oliseh, 45, believes he still has much to offer at the top level and is willing to bide his time until the right job comes up following his dismissal as Sittard’s manager in 2018.
“There are offers at the moment and I am confident that I will get some more close to my base so I can be close to my family.”
