Tems Is Unstoppable In The Video For Her Latest Single, ‘Try Me’

A couple of weeks ago, Tems, one of the most exciting up-and-comers, came out with her third single, “Try Me” — a banger that proved just how consistent she is. Now, she’s given the fiery single a fitting music video, which also happens to be the first she’s ever released.

On the impassioned single, Tems sings to a foe who is trying to bring her down and steal her shine. She gets to really flex her bad bitch muscles on the song, letting us know she isn’t one to mess with. “Why you wanna try me?” she belts on the chorus. 

The compelling video for “Try Me”, directed by the always brilliant Ademola Falomo, opens with Tems and some of her goons getting captured. Fortunately for them, a pair of loyal followers come to their rescue and aid their escape. 

The next assault comes on Tems’ own home, as a band of leather-clad men attempt a break-in. Fortunately, once more, Tems and her crew manage to flee, clearly reiterating her message on the song: she is really not one to be tried.
