Mr Eazi has been on a collaborative roll all year, working with everyone from Jidenna to J Balvin. Now, he’s teamed up with Ghana’s biggest star, Sarkodie for a solid new single, “Do You“, which comes complete with a vibrant music video.
Sampling Ne-yo’s 2009 hit of the same name, “Do You” is a vibrant bop that finds both artists mourning a failed relationship. While Mr Eazi handles the catchy hook, asking his ex if she still thinks about him, Sakordie raps about how much he misses his.
For the accompanying video, which was directed by Capone And Guise of Visionniare Pictures, we follow a couple through their fractured relationship, as they argue and fight non-stop. This pushes the lady back to her ex, which turns out to be Sarkodie.
“Do You” is the latest single off Sarkodie’s upcoming album, Black Love, which is set to feature Wande Coal, Idris Elba, Efya and more. Well, if the lead singles, “Do You” and the Rudeboy-assisted “Lucky”, are any indication, the album will be very strong.
