All year, Zlatan — one of 2019’s biggest breakout stars — has aligned himself with heavyweights in the industry, teaming up with Tiwa Savage (“Shotan”), Burna Boy (“Killin Dem”) and Davido (“Bum Bum”). Now, he’s teamed up with Tekno for another catchy collaboration, “Agege”.
While Tekno has released a few songs this year — from “Woman” to “Up Tempo” — he hasn’t quite delivered a banger like his older tracks, “Pana” and “Jogodo”. Given this, it makes perfect sense that he’s teamed up with Zlatan, who has been delivering hits all year.
On “Agege”, Tekno explores a new realm, rapping to match the energy Zlatan brings to the song. We’ve never heard him on this form before, and this change gives him great synergy with Zlatan, who has proven himself to work well with anyone he collaborates with.
