A few months ago, news broke that Bolanle Austen-Peters will be making her feature directorial debut with The Bling Lagosians.

With a robust cast that includes Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Bisola Aiyeola, Denola Grey and more, the film immediately caught our attention, and now, we have an exciting new teaser to whet our appetites even more.

Austen-Peter’s vision for this film is to create something reflective of her Lagos experience. The Bling Lagosians tells the story of a powerful Lagos socialite planning a flamboyant birthday party, while her husband fights to prevent their family’s huge debt from being exposed.

The trailer reveals the party preparations, showing the robust cast as they carry out their day-to-day. While it doesn’t give too much of the plot away, it’s clear that the film is going to be very scandalous, and if you live in Lagos, this should come as no real surprise to you.
