Best You Never Heard: Wizkid Soars On CDQ's Energetic Jam, 'Want'

It’s been a while since we’ve gotten any new music from Wizkid, and fans are eagerly awaiting his next move. Luckily, the internet is the gift that keeps on giving, and nothing ever really goes away, especially not old gems that went unnoticed upon arrival, such as CDQ‘s Wizkid-aided jam, “Want”.

A few months ago, CDQ dropped a pretty solid album, Ibile Mugabe, which featured some of the biggest afropop names in the game. Given this, we’re a bit surprised that most of the songs flew under the radar, especially the Davido-assisted banger, “Entertainer” and “Want” featuring Wizkid.

When the album first dropped, we can’t say “Want” initially caught our attention, however, it has certainly aged well, and CDQ has Wizkid to thank for that. Granted, the rapper did manage to hold his own on the song — an impressive feat when the afropop superstar is involved.

Against an energetic, Masterkraft-produced beat, the two stars deliver prayerful lyrics, naming all of the things they want God to give them. Well, from where we’re sitting, Wizkid seems set in pretty much every department, so we’re not sure what else he could possibly be looking for.
