Up-and-coming record label, Fierce Nation just burst onto the scene in a rather grand way. For their first release, the label dropped the aptly-titled Fierce”, led by label act, Laycon, and featuring beloved rappers, Reminisce and Chinko Ekun.

Producer Quebeat lays down a beat that embodies the label’s name and song title — fierce in its deep bass and rapid fanfare. Laycon leads the song, opening with a catchy proclamation on the chorus, “awa fierce”, before seeping into his verse.

Chinko Ekun follows Laycon’s second chorus with a significantly more dynamic verse, as he warns the haters that they can never curb his blessings. Reminisce then hops on the song’s final verse to flaunt the effortless skill that earned him his place at the top.

The video, directed by Mex, reiterates the message Laycoon hammers on in his chorus: All three stars are fierce. Edited to perfection, the video includes lo-fi grainy stills woven in amongst slow-paced shots of the charismatic artists and gifted dancers.
