Kayode Sule, son of the Chief Medical Director of Lafia Hospital, Apata, Ibadan, Oyo State, who was shot and kidnapped by suspected herdsmen, has been released.

Two staff members of the hospital, Dele Adigun and Opeyemi Abifarin, who were abducted alongside Sule on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday, also regained their freedom.

It could not be ascertained whether the N50m ransom demanded by the kidnappers was paid before they were released.

An official of the hospital confided in a correspondent on Saturday that the victims were released Friday night. It was learnt that Kayode, who sustained a gunshot injury on the leg, was being given medical attention.

Efforts to reach police to comment on the situation were not successful as at the time of filing this report.

The three men were kidnapped on Tuesday evening at Ajebo end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, while coming from Lagos in an official car.
