Due to the massive success of Fireboy DML‘s “Jealous” — a standout off YBNL’s joint mixtape, Mafia Family — the singer has emerged as one of 2019’s biggest breakout stars, and his new song, “You”, finds him thanking everyone that made it possible.

The gifted singer is one of the most exciting new artists working today, and with each new release — his “Jealous” follow-up, “What If I Say”, landed on our list of some of the best songs of the year (so far) — he continues to prove his immense talent.

Against a mellow beat, the YBNL singer serenades his fans with sweet lyrics, thanking them for rocking with his music and helping him become a star. “I just wanna say thank you, and I love you, and I cannot do without you “, he sings on the chorus.

Fireboy DML is yet to drop the ball, and given that this is still pretty early on in his career, his future in the Nigerian music industry is definitely a promising one. We’re really excited to see what else the afropop up-and-comer has in store for us.
