Burna Boy Joins Harmonize & Diamond Platnumz For New Love Song, 'Kainama'

In the past year, Burna Boy’s career has continued to soar, along with the sheer mastery of his music. Every Burna Boy drop since his game-changing Outside has amazed us, and that’s still the case with his latest feature on Harmonize’s “Kainama”.

“Kainama”, which also features Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz, is the first track of Harmonize’s latest EP, Afro Bongo, and Burna Boy opens the song with an unbridled performance that totally leaves us in awe.

On his verse, Burna promises to give his lover more, but only if she relinquishes her love to him. Burna then flaunts his linguistic abilities, as he ditches his usual dialects — Yoruba and English — before passing the baton to Harmonize and Diamond Platnumz.

Singing to their lovers, all three African acts bring out their best atop Mix Master Garzy’s bass-induced beat. Their medley of languages makes the song all the more exciting, especially when delivered by Burna Boy’s iconic raspy vocals.
