Last year, news broke that this upcoming season of Orange Is The New Black will be the show’s last. Now, we’ve been given a very moving trailer, and from the looks of it, the ladies of Litchfield are coming to terms with the fact that prison has changed them forever.
The end of the series is bitter-sweet because even though there’s been a dip in quality, it set a new standard for streaming network originals. In its first season, they received 12 Emmy nominations ― one of which Nigerian-American actress, Uzo Aduba, won for her standout turn.
Over the past six seasons, the series has juggled comedy and drama, and it definitely contributed enormously to the popularity of Netflix. We grew very fond of the show’s colourful characters, and we’ll definitely miss a lot of them, especially Aduba’s Crazy Eyes and Danielle Brooks’ Taystee.
In the trailer, we can see the ladies of Litchfield are nervous about the changes in their lives, while Piper struggles to settle back into the outside world. The final season will be available to watch on Netflix from July 26, which gives you enough time to binge watch all the other seasons.
