Last year, 2Baba and Peruzzi teamed up to give us the monster hit, “Amaka” which we’re sure is still making rounds nearly a year later. Now, to kick off 2019, they have teamed up again on Slimcase’s latest single, “Azaman“, alongside DJ Neptune and Larry Gaaga.

Our first proper introduction to Slimcase was on the viral hit, “Shepeteri” which he followed up with his fantastic features on DJ Enimoney’s “Diet” Mr Real’s “Legbegbe” and Wizkid‘s “Gucci Snake”. Now, he’s enlisted some industry heavyweights for his own song, “Azaman”, and it’s a vibe.

“Azaman” starts off with Slimcase shouting out adlibs to a mid-tempo beat while we anticipate what’s to come for the rest of the song. About a minute in, the song starts with Peruzzi’s impressive hook, imploring bad energy to stay away before 2Baba beings his verse, filled with inspirational messages about how to live your life.

We’re not entirely sure what azaman means, and the lyrics give us no insight to the song’s subject matter. Nontheless, it’s super catchy and chantable, and is the perfect song to satiate a Nigerian audience.
