The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned a woman identified as Omorogbe Jennifer Soni, 26, for assault after she was caught on camera assaulting a police officer in Ajah on February 21, 2024.

Omorogbe had a heated argument with the police officer. The reason for the argument is unknown at the time of filing this report. However, she had pushed the woman police who tried to move close to her car.

In a statement released by the spokesperson of the command, it was stated that Omorogbe was arraigned on February 22, 2024, at the Etiosa Magistrate Court, Ajah. She has been remanded to the Kirikiri Female Correctional Centre till the next hearing on March 27, 2024.

Hundeyin said, ‘’The Lagos State Police Command advice Lagosians to remain law-abiding in their day-to-day activities with all and sundry as anyone found guilty of violating the law would be dealt with following the law.’’
