
The Ijebu-Ode local government area of Ogun Statehas commenced the rehabilitation of Oke-Oyinbo Primary Health Centre.
The information was shared by the council chairman, Babatunde Emilola-Gazal and the move is to improve the health condition of the people at the grassroots.
Emilola-Gazal, while making this known to journalists while on inspection of the health centre on Wednesday said the facelift was needed so as to serve the primary purpose of providing improved healthcare services for the people.
“The area we are rehabilitating includes construction of new Male and Female Wards, staff quarters, theatre, Pharmacy room, Children Ward and Matron Office, as well as fencing of the building.

“The Oke-Oyinbo Primary Health Centre has been an age-long health centre which needs total Rehabilitation.
It is at the centre of GRA in Ijebu Ode and the only hospital that serves the area and our people need affordable and accessible primary health care.
“We are doing this as part of fulfilling our electioneering campaign and also complement the effort of the state government on healthcare delivery,” he said.
The council boss noted that at completion of the rehabilitation, the centre would be more conducive for the medical staff, to engender efficient health care delivery to residents of the area.
